Semo.net Traveling Team Takes 2nd Place

semo.net has two sponsored baseball teams (8-10 year old division): our Poplar Bluff Civic League Team and our Traveling Team. The semo.net Traveling Team took second place in the Current River Invitational on Saturday, June 23rd. The boys played four games and played hard. Some of the highlights of the four games played include turning a 4-6-3 double play (Ben Becker, Blakeney Kearbey & Kirby Coleman), a diving catch in the outfield (Ross Barton), a great catch off a foul ball by the catcher at home plate (Zac Lawrence), and two players hit home runs over the left field fence (Brett Barton and Kirby Coleman).

The host team from Ellington won first place and Williamsville took third place.

Playtagger MP3 Utility

Play Tagger is a neat little tool that allows you to easily play mp3 files directly on websites, and you can have it for your website or blog too. Include this tiny javascript in your HTML, and your mp3 links will automatically become playable right on the page. In addition, your visitors will have the opportunity to easily tag and post the mp3 link to del.icio.us social bookmarking site. This script is very lightweight, as is the flash movie that plays on demand.

New Areas Opened for DSL

If you live in the Windstream Telephone Company* service area, new areas just opened for DSL service. If you are interested in broadband Internet service, check to see if it’s available for your location. You can check for availability by going to http://www.semobroadband.com/. If it’s available, just fill out the request form that and one of our representatives will contact you to finish the process. If you have any questions or can’t seem to find the right information you also can call our office at 877-686-9114 and someone will be more than happy to assist you in finding out if your number qualifies for service.
