Semo.net Traveling Team Takes 2nd Place

semo.net has two sponsored baseball teams (8-10 year old division): our Poplar Bluff Civic League Team and our Traveling Team. The semo.net Traveling Team took second place in the Current River Invitational on Saturday, June 23rd. The boys played four games and played hard. Some of the highlights of the four games played include turning a 4-6-3 double play (Ben Becker, Blakeney Kearbey & Kirby Coleman), a diving catch in the outfield (Ross Barton), a great catch off a foul ball by the catcher at home plate (Zac Lawrence), and two players hit home runs over the left field fence (Brett Barton and Kirby Coleman).
The host team from Ellington won first place and Williamsville took third place.
