Well at least that is what they hope. They have unveiled one of their top secret projects, now know as Surface, and from what it looks like in the site demo video’s it is pretty cool. Basically Minority Report is being brought to a table top surface near you. The first place you’ll probably see Microsoft Surface is at one of its four inaugural retail partners, including T-Mobile USA, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and Harrah’s Entertainment. AT T-Mobile, for example, you will be able to place any of their phones on Surface. Surface will sense the presence of each individual phone and then project each phone’s features in front of you for you to consider. If you want to add a feature in the store, just “push” that feature “into” your phone with your finger.

How do I use the NEW search box?

The new search box has changed the way you choose the different search engines. By clicking on the logo in the search box, you will be given a list of search engines to choose from. After selecting your search engine or choice (or encyclopedia in the case of Wikipedia), input your keyword or phrase and press the Enter key or click the search button. Your browser will be forwarded to the respective page for your results.

What’s improved about the search box?

The new search box maintains the reliable Google engine as default, while it still includes other popular search engines such as Yahoo! and MSN. It eliminates clutter and gives you visuals on which search engine you are choosing. As you can see, Wikipedia has also been added as a new option. Wikipedia is a free electronic encyclopedia, however, the contents are edited by the Internet community at large so use caution with your use of Wiki information.

The new form, found under Helpdesk – Dialup Report, can be used to inform semo.net of any problems you are encountering.

By entering the dialup number you use, you can easily find information as to the current and maximum load on the dialup equipment and report issues you are experiencing. Should the problem reported be something a technical support representative is able to help you with they will attempt to contact you to resolve the trouble.
